Efficient data allocation for frequency domain experiments
Frequency domain experiments are efficient screening procedures for identifying important factors in simulation models. An empirical investigation involving a simple autoregressive system and a complex queueing system shows that allocating data unequally among signal and noise runs may be more effective when the data collection effort is limited.
متن کاملSingle-Carrier Frequency-Domain Equalization for Orthogonal STBC over Frequency-Selective MIMO-PLC channels
In this paper we propose a new space diversity scheme for broadband PLC systems using orthogonal space-time block coding (OSTBC) transmission combined with single-carrier frequency-domain equalization (SC-FDE). To apply this diversity technique to PLC channels, we first propose a new technique for combining SC-FDE with OSTBCs applicable to all dispersive multipath channels impaired by impulsive...
متن کاملDesign of Frequency Domain Experiments for Discrete-valued Factors
We provide theoretical justification for the use of an existing technique for studying binary-valued inputs in the Fourier frequency domain. Extending this work, we propose two methods for handling general discrete-valued factors, and illustrate their use. The two methods are found to have complementary applicability. When combined with previously developed techniques, they generalize the frequ...
متن کاملWindowing Techniques in Frequency-Domain Simulation
The verification of a number of mixed-technology and mixed-signal designs (RF circuits, for instance) often requires frequency-domain simulations of nonlinear systems in the presence of signals that are best characterized as having continuous frequency spectra. This paper describes a new frequency-domain simulation algorithm for the computation of the response of nonlinear systems to band-limit...
متن کاملNonlinear Circuit Simulation in the Frequency-domain∗
Simulation in the frequency-domain avoids many of the severe problems experienced when trying to use traditional time-domain simulators such as Spice [1] to find the steady-state behavior of analog, RF, and microwave circuits. In particular, frequency-domain simulation eliminates problems from distributed components and high-Q circuits by forgoing a nonlinear differential equation representatio...
